How to Get There

From Westcliffe: Take Hwy 69 south to County Road 559. Take a right and head west. You will enter the San Isabel National Forest at roughly 6.9 miles. From Walsenburg: Take Hwy 69 North to County Road 559. Take a left and head west. You will enter the San Isabel National Forest at roughly 6.9 miles.

Detailed Description

Unlicensed vehicles are not permitted into the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, which begins at the summit of Medano Pass.
