How to Get There

From Buena Vista: Take Hwy 285 south through Nathrop. Turn right (west) on County Road 162 and follow past the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. The road will turn to dirt and change names to Chalk Creek Road. There are a few sections where the riding of unlicensed OHVs is permitted, but pay attention to the signs. The pin point marker is at the staging area just before entering St. Elmo.

Detailed Description

Pin Point is at the staging area to the East of Tincup. Restroom is available there. *NOTE: The Iron Chest mine access road is a PRIVATE ROAD and is not an official Forest Service System Route.
